A gift for a special person. You want something that the recipient will be happy with, something that is different from other gifts, and if possible, something that will surprise them. With all that in mind, choosing a gift can be quite difficult, with so many things to consider.
In the "GIFT FOR YOU" project, we ask people from various industries for tips on choosing gifts. In this fourth installment, we will introduce how beauty director Miho Arai gave Lypo-C to makeup artist MICHIRU and Pilates trainer Megumi.
Arai: "My friends know that I'm a cat lover, so I often receive cat-themed gifts, but what makes me happiest is that they remember me. So when I think of a friend and think, 'Oh, this is something they'd like,' I'll send them a gift without any particular reason. This time, when I was asked who I would like to give Lypo-C to, the first people that came to mind were MICHIRU and Megumi. I knew that they both drink it regularly, so I'd like to know how they get used to it."
MICHIRU: "I'm so happy. I try to avoid animal products, so I regularly check my blood for nutrients I'm lacking and take supplements. I have a few supplements that I take regularly, but what they all have in common is that they don't contain any unnecessary additives or sweeteners. I take one packet first thing in the morning, and then take another packet in the evening if I feel tired. Drinking it makes all the difference in how I recover, so I always put it in my pouch and take it with me to the filming location. It's busy on set, so when I see staff, I sometimes hand them a packet and say, 'Try this.'"
Arai: "I totally understand that. I always carry it with me and give it to people I meet at work or in my personal life. Vitamin C is generally recognized as a nutrient that humans need, so it's easy to recommend it regardless of trends in the beauty and health industry, age, or gender. And since supplements are something you put into your body, I want to introduce products that I've been using for many years and that I think are really good."
Megumi: "I have the impression that people who recommend Lypo-C are all very enthusiastic about telling us about its benefits (laughs). It's certainly designed with absorption in mind, and it's packed with attention to detail that makes you want to tell someone about it. In my case, I keep Lypo-C in the kitchen, where I spend a lot of time, and drink it when I feel busy. Recently, I've also been giving it to my daughter, who is old enough to take it, and it's nice to be able to share something good for the body with the whole family."
Arai: "If you place it where you move around in your daily life, it's easier to remember and make it a habit. I also place Lypo-C at eye level when I open the fridge. When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is drink some hot water, and the next time I open the fridge, my eyes naturally meet with Lypo-C so I never forget to take it (laughs)."
--What's your recommended way to drink it?
Arai: "Both MICHIRU and Megumi are advanced users of Lypo-C and are used to drinking it straight, but do you have any favorite ways to use it? I usually mix it with tomato juice, but recently I've been hooked on black honey ginger and soda. The taste is a bit like craft cola. In hot seasons, the air conditioner can make your body cold, so I think it's good to take in vitamin C and warm yourself up from the inside with ginger."
Megumi: "It's absolutely delicious. For me, my favorite drink this summer was Lypo-C mixed with coconut water, which I've had on repeat many times. The moisture in coconut water is easily absorbed by the body, making it ideal for preventing dehydration. The moderate sweetness also goes well with Lypo-C, so I recommend it."
MICHIRU: "I like to mix it simply with soda and accent it with lemon or mint. The salty taste of Lypo-C is delicious and refreshing, making it the perfect drink to hydrate after a bath. When you add Lypo-C to soda, it instantly turns cloudy, but I was previously told that this is not because it has dissolved, but because the liposomes have dispersed. It makes me happy to imagine it being absorbed into the body."
──Lypo-C VitaminC How do you take Lypo-C C+D?
Arai-san: "I'm in the menopausal age now, and I need to take vitamin D proactively to keep myself healthy. But thanks to my habit of taking Lypo-C C+D, my blood test results showed that I was getting enough, so I was relieved. So now I take one packet of Lypo-C C+D in the morning, and Lypo-C Vitamin C to charge up frequently throughout the day."
MICHIRU: "I also take Lypo-C C+D. Rather than feeling vaguely anxious about not feeling well, if I can identify the cause, I can think of ways to deal with it and understand what I really need at the moment. When I feel like I'm going to get sick because of my busy schedule, I take Lypo-C to prepare myself. It has made me feel more at ease. I recommend it especially to busy people."
Megumi: "Listening to you two talk, I think one of the great things about Lypo-C is that you can customize the amount and timing to suit your physical condition and schedule for the day. Even in the midst of a busy day, I think it's important to have the habit of thinking about your body at least once a day, such as, 'I got a lot of sunshine today, so maybe I should take two packets of Lypo-C Vitamin C.'"
Arai: "That's true. Ideally, we want to be healthy every day, but hormone balance has a big impact on women, and controlling one's physical condition well is actually a very difficult task. I feel that making Lypo-C a habit not only supplements nutrients, but also helps to cultivate one's own view of health. When you think about it over the course of a long life, that is a huge asset. That's why I think that I want to share it with the people I care about. Thank you for today."
Through gifts, you can share your desire to stay beautiful and healthy with your loved ones. The "GIFT FOR YOU" project will continue to provide a variety of gift-giving occasions.
