  3. Vitamin D is essential for maintaining bone health

Female hormones have a significant impact on a woman's mind and body throughout her life. From menstrual disorders to infertility treatment, pregnancy and childbirth, and menopausal disorders, women suffer from a variety of health issues at each stage of life. In order to improve the quality of life, it is essential to acquire correct knowledge and consider how to deal with your mind and body at any given time. We spoke to Naoko Nishimura, who works as a beauty expert and beauty planner, about how to deal with your current mind, body, and skin, and the importance of preparing for menopause.

I became aware of the onset of menopause at the age of 48.

"I've loved beauty since I was young, and was obsessed with taking in things that were good for my skin and body, but looking back, I was at my limit in my 30s. In my mid-30s, I realized the importance of not only taking in things, but also nurturing the skin's ability to eliminate them, so I changed my skin care routine to one that placed emphasis on washing and cleansing my face. It was around this time that I discovered the appeal of organic cosmetics, which have rich fragrances that appeal to the five senses, and after repeated trial and error, I found the skin care that suited my dry, sensitive skin."

Although she had established a skin care routine that suited her skin and was able to deal with minor fluctuations, it no longer worked when she was 48 years old. The texture of her skin changed, and she says she felt like a different person.

"It's no exaggeration to say that I felt like I was falling off a cliff. I became anxious and panicked over the smallest of things, and my emotions were spinning. I felt that my mind was being affected by hormonal imbalances, and I realised that I had entered menopause in earnest."

Entering menopause as a new discovery

Nishimura, who has had a regular gynecologist since her teenage years and has ample knowledge about menopause, first started exercising. She says she got into the habit of exercising regularly through personal training.
"It's important to move your body and improve circulation in order to regulate your autonomic nervous system. I can't say I like exercise (laughs), but I continue to do it because I want to continue shining as myself in my 50s."

In terms of beauty, I started using Femcare. As dryness worsens the barrier function and increases the likelihood of various disorders, I have made it a habit to moisturize using special beauty oils. I also purchased a needle roller that was developed to be used for myofascial release at home.

I've made it a habit to massage my body after a bath or in between desk work, with the image of circulating the heat trapped inside me throughout my entire body.
"Beauty tools are also recommended as a way to switch your mind on. It's best to have something you can continue using in your spare time."

Lypo-C for a body base boost

Nishimura-san has been taking Lypo-C for over six years, but it has become even more indispensable to her as she enters menopause.

"Basically, I think that 80% of beauty is accomplished if you avoid UV rays, moisturize well, and take vitamin C. I prefer Lypo-C Vitamin C in terms of taste, but vitamin D is essential for maintaining healthy bones. I continue to take three packets of Lypo-C Vitamin C and one packet of Lypo-C Vitamin C + D every day.
Also, since I learned that when people lack the vitamin C found in fresh vegetables and fruits, they tend to crave alcohol, sweet foods, and juices that contain glucose, I take Lypo-C Vitamin C when I'm hungry or have a snack to help prevent overeating and drinking."

Nishimura-san has no problem with drinking water directly, but she has also devised various recipe arrangements so that her son, who suffers from acne scars, can enjoy it without any problems. She has also added Lypo-C Vitamin C + D to her original herb water and strawberry, tomato and pomegranate dressing, making it a delicious treat for the whole family.

"In the beauty industry, where beauty ingredients change so quickly, Vitamin C has gone beyond being a trend and is in a class of its own. It's a trustworthy companion that I want to continue drinking to improve my skin's base and keep it healthy."

What you are passionate about enriches your life

Nishimura-san has many hobbies other than beauty. She also cherishes time when she can lose herself in something, such as growing houseplants or painting.

"I personally provide beauty information with the desire to encourage people, but I also believe that finding something you're passionate about and something that lifts your spirits while you're young will enrich your life and ultimately lead to greater beauty as a person. Using beauty as a tool, I want to come into contact with lots of beautiful things that move me, and get through menopause in a positive and fun way."

The event will be held on Friday, June 21st.Lacalp Fes" will hold a seminar to deepen understanding of menopause by Dr. Noriko Oshima and Ms. Naoko Nishimura, gynecology consultants at the Creage Tokyo Ladies' Dock Clinic. The contents of the seminar will be announced in July.
