Enjoy Nordic walking and keep yourself in shape
SUMMARY
- ・Nordic walking strengthens your core without putting strain on your joints
- After taking Lypo-C for a month, I felt that my skin condition improved.
The baton relay series introducing Lypo-C to loved ones began in April. Our third guest is Nordic walking instructor Kuroki Kimi. ChefUematsu Yoshie, who appeared in the previous issue, is also one of Kuroki's students. She introduced her because "Kuroki must need Lypo-C, as she walks outside almost every day for her job."
Vivid and beautiful
So that we can grow older
Nordic walking is walking using special poles. It was originally a training for cross-country skiers, a winter sport where skiers ski down snowy fields, during the summer when there is no snow. Kimiko Kuroki started working as an instructor at the age of 40.
"In my 30s, I was a full-time housewife raising my children, and I suffered from poor health, including headaches and feeling heavy, due to lack of exercise. I caught colds easily and was always tired. I knew I needed to build up my physical strength, and having been a member of the track and field club in my school days, I started running when my child started elementary school. More and more of my mom friends also wanted to run, so I asked a coach I knew to give me lessons."
We gathered regularly at Kinuta Park and took lessons for about four years, but as the participants got into their 30s and 40s, running became increasingly difficult.
"It would be a shame to disband, and some people said they wanted to try walking even if they couldn't run, so I remembered Nordic walking. I had tried Nordic walking before, and it was fun because it wasn't hard but you really felt like you were using your core. It was more liberating than exercising at the gym, and I thought that even people who aren't good at exercise might be able to do it."
Kuroki-san was involved in creating the running menu together with the coach at the running club. Wanting to be able to teach others, he decided to get certified as an instructor.
"The most common cause of people needing assistance or nursing care is osteoarthritis. In addition to preventing osteoarthritis, one thing to keep in mind as you get older is how to walk and live without hurting your joints. In Nordic walking, you push the poles against the ground as you walk, which straightens your spine and reduces the strain on your joints. Also, because the support of the poles allows you to walk in a more dynamic form, it is said to use 90% of your entire body's muscle strength. In order to avoid damaging your joints, it is important to build up core and lower body strength and maintain good posture. Nordic walking is both aerobic exercise and strength training, so it has all sorts of benefits."
From sun damage
A sense of security that you are protected
Although Nordic walking has many benefits, the only downside is that it is an outdoor sport and you may get sunburned.
She had tried regular whitening tablets sold at drugstores in the past, but she didn't really feel any effect.
"But after taking Lypo-C for about a month, the stinging pain disappeared. It felt like my skin was in better condition. Usually, I feel like the sunlight is directly penetrating deep into my skin, but when I take Lypo-C, I feel like an invisible veil is forming around my skin, giving me a sense of security."
In the second part, which will be released on Tuesday, June 25th, we will ask Kuroki about the secret to her healthy beauty and her favorite way to take Lypo-C.
